VULIN: SERBS HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN THEIR GENERAL

BELGRADE, SEPTEMBER 7 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska Senator Aleksandar Vulin told SRNA that the large number of Serbs who are paying tribute to General Ratko Mladić of the Republika Srpska Army in Belgrade today proves that they have not forgotten their general and that they are proud to be Serbs.

After paying tribute to General Mladić at St. Luke Church in Belgrade’s Vidikovac neighbourhood, Vulin stressed that every person had come to say that everything the general fought for remains worthwhile. He stressed that General Mladić had saved the Serb people countless times. “He saved us today as well, so that we do not forget who we are, so that we do not stop remembering, so that we do not stop fighting for what we believe in,” Vulin said. He said that many people had tried to convince Serbs that they should stop being Serbs. “Today, Serbs have gathered to say that we are here, that there are many of us, that we exist, and that there is no Europe that can force us to stop remembering our hero. From Gavrilo Princip to Ratko Mladić, the best Serbs are killed in captivity. They are killed in prisons. And then they also force us to forget them,” Vulin stressed. According to him, Serbs have responded by saying that they can arrest and imprison them, but they cannot force them to stop loving their hero and being proud to be Serbs. He said that General Mladić was not handed over by the Serbs, but by the Serbia of that time, and that they knew that once he entered The Hague dungeon, he would not come out alive. “We knew that there would be no justice there, but only revenge, both against him and against all Serbs,” Vulin said, adding that The Hague had taken revenge on General Mladić.
