CHINESE BUSINESSPEOPLE INTERESTED IN INVESTING IN TREBINJE

TREBINJE, SEPTEMBER 7 /SRNA/ - Chinese businesspeople expressed interest in investing in Trebinje and establishing cooperation with local businesses during today's meeting with Trebinje Mayor Mirko Ćurić.

The Chinese business delegation discussed opportunities for business cooperation with Ćurić, while the economic and investment potential of Trebinje was presented at the meeting, with particular emphasis on tourism, agriculture and energy, the Trebinje City Administration said. The delegation also met with "Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske" electrical utility company CEO Luka Petrović. The Chinese delegation also visited Tvrdoš Monastery and the "Tvrdoš" winery, the Vukoje vineyards and olive grove, "Herzegovina House" and the Old Town, where they learned about Trebinje’s tourism, economic and cultural potential. The visit to Trebinje was part of a five-day program for the Chinese business delegation in Republika Srpska, during which representatives of the Chinese business sector visited five cities. As part of the program, two business forums were held in Banja Luka and Brod, while meetings with representatives of local communities were also organized. The aim of the visit was to present the economic potential of Republika Srpska, establish direct contacts with Chinese businesspeople and explore opportunities for future business and investment cooperation.
