MACUT: WE ARE STRENGTHENING COOPERATION IN EDUCATION, SCIENCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE
BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 9 /SRNA/ - Serbian Prime Minister Đuro Macut congratulated Savo Minić, the current Republika Srpska Prime Minister, on his election as President of Republika Srpska in the general elections, expressing his expectation that continued coordination between the two governments would help strengthen cooperation in education, science, culture and infrastructure.
"This is a positive symbol of our meetings, which reflect a positive trend. I hope his election will confirm what we are planning. Of course, all of this was done in coordination and on the basis of the Great Charter of the People, which speaks of cooperation among the Serb people on both banks of the Drina, established by Presidents /Aleksandar/ Vučić and /Milorad/ Dodik," Macut said at a news conference in Banjа Luka following a meeting between members of the governments of Republika Srpska and Serbia. He noted that Serbian government ministers were present in Banja Luka today and deserved praise for their efforts to promote cooperation with Republika Srpska. "Today, we have stepped up the pace of our operational working meetings. These ministers deserve praise for their commitment. We will continue coordinating, and we will establish a coordination body representing a new form of cooperation that will implement all these plans," Macut said. He stressed that the cooperation would help improve the quality of education. "I believe this is the future of integration across an educational, scientific and cultural space. We will continue to coordinate the activities of the two parts of our people, who have always been close. We will also find good solutions for infrastructure projects. We have a good period ahead of us over the next year or two," Macut said.
