ŠAMAC, OCTOBER 29 /SRNA/ – Newly elected Republika Srpska President Savo Minić has said this evening that he is ready to cooperate with everyone who had ideas for the further development of Republika Srpska, and called for unity.

"Everyone is welcome. We have four years ahead of us. We should not divide ourselves over anything, but rather stand together," Minić said in Pisari, near Šamac, where several hundred local residents had gathered to welcome him. He stressed that he did not wish to say a single bad word about his political opponents, just as he had refrained from doing so during the election campaign, and said he wanted all antagonisms to be overcome. "Although they have different political affiliations, they belong to my people. I believe they will change their minds when they see what has been accomplished," Minić said. Minić thanked his fellow residents for their support in the elections and stressed that people he had grown up with and attended school alongside supporting him is very important to him. He called on residents of his native village of Pisari to prepare project proposals and stressed that he would help implement them. Gavro Kurešević, the SNSD coordinator for Pisari, said that the Republika SrpskGovernment had invested more than BAM 400,000 in infrastructure projects in the village, including the asphalting of 2.2 kilometres of road. "We are proud that the president of Republika Srpska comes from our local community," Kurešević said.
