MINIĆ: WE WILL JUSTIFY PEOPLE’S SUPPORT; IT IS BOTH AN INCENTIVE AND AN OBLIGATION
ŠEKOVIĆI, NOVEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - SNSD Main Board member Savo Minić, who won a convincing victory as the party's candidate in the election for president of Republika Srpska, said tonight in Šekovići that only a government that stays close to its people every day can remain in power.
Minić thanked the citizens of Šekovići and Republika Srpska for their support in the recent elections, saying that their support was a great encouragement and an obligation. "We will live up to that support. The people of Šekovići and the whole of Republika Srpska must feel the benefits of the good policies we have pursued so far, and now, of course, we must step them up," Minić told reporters. As Republika Srpska Prime Minister, Minić said that the institutions of Republika Srpska wanted to deliver stability and security. Speaking at a celebration in Šekovići marking SNSD's election victory, he said that the Government had supported many projects in the municipality for the benefit of Šekovići. “The Government has launched a project here to reconstruct the Drinjača riverbank, which is nearing completion. You can see that it has been raining for two or three days, and we need high water levels, but we also want to ensure safety when water levels are high,” Minić stressed. According to him, investment in Šekovići will continue in the coming period.
