ELECTORAL TECHNOLOGY REJECTED IN GERMANY IS BEING PROMOTED HERE

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 12 /SRNA/ – Elections conducted using new voting technologies cannot be fair, but German politicians are insisting that BiH adopt such technologies despite the fact that Germany’s Constitutional Court banned their use because of the high potential for abuse, President Milorad Dodik has stated.

"Just imagine: Germany introduced this technology and, when they saw the extent of the potential for abuse and how much of it there was, their Constitutional Court prohibited its use. Now their politicians come to us and tell us that we must use it. Once again, we are powerless because it is being imposed on us. We are not naive. Our people are not educated in the use of these electronic tools. We do not have that kind of training. There will be groups that will try to abuse it", Dodik said in a podcast with American journalist Lara Logan. According to Dodik, efforts are underway to resist such measures and preserve the integrity of the electoral process, but it remains to be seen how successful those efforts will be. Dodik assessed that the same group of people who, in his view, tried to act in favor of former US President Joseph Biden are now attempting to do the same in BiH and are engaging in speculation.
