RELOCATION OF UNWANTED MIGRANTS FROM THE WEST TO THE BALKANS IS OUT OF THE QUESTION

SARAJEVO, JUNE 21 /SRNA/ – The West’s intentions to settle migrants from Asia and Africa in the Balkans are out of the question, said Đorđe Radanović, President of the Committee for the Protection of the Rights of Serbs in the Federation of BiH, in a statement to SRNA.

Radanović explained that Serbs have had negative experiences with people from Islamic countries, citing as an example the migrant camp in the Serb village of Lipa near Bihać, from which the remaining Serb population fled. "No kind of migrants are acceptable – they desecrate our cemeteries, churches, and all of them display hostility toward Serbs. In addition to the local radical Muslims, we certainly don’t need 50,000 more from Asia," said Radanović. He pointed out that the West would not send to the Balkans people who are willing to integrate and accept the social values of the host countries. "These are people prone to crime, who cause problems, rob, and steal – and it is them they want to send to the Balkans, while the ones who want to work and function normally will remain in the West," Radanović stressed. The UK government has officially announced its intention to relocate around 60,000 unwanted migrants from Asia and Africa to the Balkans, including Serbia (with Kosovo and Metohija), as well as BiH, North Macedonia, and Albania. The European Commission joined in, announcing that EU countries will deport tens of thousands more problematic asylum seekers to the Balkan states, while the business portal Bloomberg reported that the United States also plans to relocate its Latin American migrants to the Balkans, with a particular focus on Serbia.
