DODIK: UNAPPONTED FOREIGNER’S IMPOSITIONS DO NOT GUARANTEE BiH'S FUTURE

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 23 /SRNA/ - The President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik says that an unappointed foreigner is imposing decisions in BiH that unfortunately Muslims support enforcing them against Serb, which, he stressed, cannot guarantee any kind of future for BiH.

"That is not how multinational states are built, despite current attempts," Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka following his meeting with former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich. Dodik adds he is currently the main target, but so are many others from Republika Srpska, with the goal being to use judicial institutions to ban any form of political activity. "Who will dare to act in the interest of Republika Srpska in the future, knowing that a court case awaits them - Muslim judges and prosecutors, and judgments handed down in Sarajevo?" Dodik asked. He emphasized that the situation in BiH is completely unsustainable and dire, and that Muslins should abandon this approach. He noted that not even the communists, despite their ideological influence, acted in such a manner. "To maintain interethnic peace, they never allowed a situation where, in court cases, a Muslim would try a Serb. They always tried to ensure that it would be a Serb, at least one loyal to the regime. Everyone knew what the judgment would be, but they also knew that if a Muslim tried a Serb, it would cause ethnic tensions," Dodik explained. He says this is a lesson still not learned in BiH, as Christian Schmidt behaves arrogantly and should have his term revoked. "All of his decisions must be annulled, because they have no legal basis only presumed power and support, which he received from the administration of /former U.S. President Joseph/ Biden. But from what we see now, that support no longer appears so strong," Dodik stated. The Srpska president emphasized that Schmidt must either leave or be confirmed by the UN Security Council in order to be legitimate. Until that happens, Republika Srpska has no reason to engage with him. "What would it look like anywhere else if someone just came and declared themselves the boss?" Dodik concluded.
