KOVAČEVIĆ: BY IGNORING FOREIGNER IMPOSING LAWS OUTSIDE CONSTITUTION, OPPOSITION PROVES THEY OPPOSE SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, JUNE 23 /SRNA/ – Serb delegate in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Radovan Kovačević emphasized that BiH is facing serious problems, including the presence of a foreigner who, without any constitutional authority, has taken it upon himself to amend and impose laws.
"For us, this is the key issue and the primary reason BiH is in crisis. The fact that the opposition from Republika Srpska chooses to ignore this, as well as the fact that the president of the Republic is being prosecuted for, as the indictment itself states, upholding the Constitution of Republika Srpska, shows that the opposition is, above all, an opposition to Srpska itself. They act as accomplices, henchmen of Bosniak politics aimed at dismantling the Dayton BiH and diminishing Srpska. Still, their efforts are in vain," said Kovačević. Speaking about European integration, he told Glas Srpske that the integration process has unfortunately been halted by certain actors — but not by SNSD, the ruling coalition in Srpska, or by Srpska itself. "The achievements of this Council of Ministers term are best reflected in the fact that we managed to obtain candidate status and the decision to open accession negotiations. Then came Christian Schmidt and the united `Troika` - from both the Federation of BiH and Republika Srpska - who halted progress in BiH, including the European integration process. The clearest proof is their vote against two EU-related laws in the House of Peoples, which makes the situation completely clear," Kovačević stressed.
