ŽUPLJANIN: SUPPORT FOR REFERENDUM FOR PRESERVATION OF SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 12 /SRNA/ - The will of the Serb people cannot be changed by any decisions of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH and all Serb patriots should unite in the defense of the Serb people, Republika Srpska, its property and institutions, said the president of the Organization of Seniors of the Republika Srpska Army /RSA/ Slobodan Župljanin.

"In this situation, we are talking about the decisive defense of the Republika Srpska and the Serb people using the most democratic internationally recognized means - a referendum," Župljanin told SRNA. The RSA Organization of Seniors supports the position of Srpska's institutions that the will of the people who elected the president of Republika Srpska in the elections can only be changed in a referendum, in accordance with the Constitution of Srpska. "This is the only way to preserve and defend the Republika Srpska and its institutions, not Milorad Dodik personally, although in these conditions he should be defended both institutionally and personally," said Župljanin. He said that the goal of the verdicts of the extra-constitutional Court of BiH and the decision of the CEC to revoke the mandate of the President of Srpska as part of a staged political process is to remove Republika Srpska and the Serb people from these areas. "With the anti-Dayton, anti-constitutional and unlawful actions, they want to destroy Republika Srpska and its institutions and thus create a unitary and centralist BiH in which there would be no place for the Serb people," Župljanin warned. In Republika Srpska, after the verdict of the extra-constitutional Court of BiH, a referendum should be held based on the decision of the National Assembly of Srpska.
