REFERENDUM TO PROTECT PRESIDENT DODIK AND SRPSKA
PALE, AUGUST 12 /SRNA/ - The Association "Creators of Republika Srpska" will firmly stand behind the intention to use a referendum in Srpska to protect not only the legitimate president Milorad Dodik, but also Srpska itself and everything that belongs to it under the Dayton Agreement and the constitutions of Srpska and BiH.
The Association recalled that more than 30 years ago another referendum, as well as a plebiscite, determined the fate of the then BiH, as well as the future of the Serbian people, who found in the founding of Republika Srpska a guarantee of their freedom and equality. "Why should it not be the same this time? Our destiny must once again be in our hands, not in the hands of a self-proclaimed foreigner and his domestic lackeys. This is our message to both the authorities and the opposition," said Association President Stevan Medić. The Association stated that they had rejected with undisguised disgust the shameful and in many ways controversial decision of the BiH Central Election Commission /CEC/ to revoke the mandate of the legitimately and legally elected President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik. They recalled that in the appeal against this decision, Dodik's legal team emphasized that "actions that annul the majority will of the citizens and undermine the rule of law must be challenged by all available legal and political means." "The entire court process so far, politically directed from both outside and within, including the latest decisions of the Appellate Panel and the CEC, boils down to a simple fact, to remove Milorad Dodik as a so-called disruptive factor, but in essence to suspend the institution of the President of the Republic," the Association "Creators of Republika Srpska" pointed out. They warned that the aim of the continued political and legal persecution is to decapitate the entire leadership of Republika Srpska, elected by the free will of the citizens, and to have the execution by the self-proclaimed High Representative and his domestic vassals culminate in the suspension of the National Assembly and the Government and the confiscation of the country’s property. "We who created Republika Srpska, and together with our people, army, and police defended it, will not allow that under any circumstances," the statement from the Association said, adding that the country paid for with the lives of the best among us is not for sale. Following the ruling of the unconstitutional Court of BiH, a referendum is expected to be held in Republika Srpska based on a decision by the National Assembly.
