DODIK: EUROPEAN PATH IS NOT IN QUESTION, BUT WE WILL CHOOSE OUR INTERLOCUTORS AND COMPANIONS ALONG THE WAY

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 13 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik stated today that the SNSD has demonstrated its readiness to preserve peace in BiH amid tense circumstances marked by attempts to undermine the constitutional order of Republika Srpska, emphasizing that the European path is not in question, but that they will choose interlocutors and companions along the way.

After the meeting with the HDZ BiH delegation in Banja Luka, Dodik stressed that stability in BiH has been maintained through reasonable behavior and political decisions that were not easy and were sometimes opposed to one another, but peace in BiH was not allowed to be disturbed. "Likewise, we are not against the European path, but we do not share HDZ’s optimism, given the current administration in Sarajevo, especially the one led by Ambassador Luigi Soreca, who speaks about the rule of law in a situation where everything has been destroyed," Dodik said at the press conference. He emphasized that there is not even a trace of the rule of law. "In that regard, we have problems with the behavior of some people who come here and openly take sides, such as /the European Commissioner for Enlargement/ Marta Kos, who supports only the Muslims in BiH and their unitary concept. That is why things went the way they did for her in Sarajevo, and the same will happen to all those from the EU who support such a concept," Dodik said. Dodik says that the European path itself is not in question, but that, along the way, "we will choose our interlocutors and companions." When asked to comment on today’s meeting between BiH’s Ambassador to the UN, Zlatko Lagumdžija, and Christian Schmidt at the OHR, Dodik said he didn’t even know they had met. "God knows what kind of mess they can make. Wrecks are gathering, and that can only end in rubble," Dodik said.
