DODIK: UNACCEPTABLE SPREAD OF SERBOPHOBIA, I SUPPORT SERBS IN CROATIA

BANJA LUKA, November 9 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik has expressed support for Serbs in Croatia in all their efforts, stressing that the spread of Serbophobia and Ustashism in Croatian society is unacceptable.

BANJA LUKA, November 9 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik has expressed support for Serbs in Croatia in all their efforts, stressing that the spread of Serbophobia and Ustashism in Croatian society is unacceptable.

Dodik told SRNA that the Serbian community in Croatia is facing very difficult circumstances, calling the situation continuous, radical, and marked by recurring excesses – all indicative of the fact that groups nurturing Ustasha traditions are still strong in Croatian society. He noted that Ustashism continues to demonstrate that the historical suffering of Serbs in Croatia was not enough for many, as even today, strongly fascist individuals show completely unacceptable behavior toward the small Serbian community. "If such discussions are taking place in the Sabor and Ustashism is being glorified at that level, then such attitudes can easily take root in society as a whole," Dodik warned. He emphasized that Croatia must act decisively and prevent such harmful behavior. "I support Serbs in Croatia in everything they do. I believe they are a tolerant community, persistent in strengthening the identity of the Serbian people in Croatia. We, who live in Srpska, must follow and support all their activities," Dodik said. He added that it is necessary to constantly point out the grave wrongdoings committed by irresponsible individuals and groups within Croatian society.
