DODIK: TERM "STATE PROPERTY" DOES NOT EXIST
BANJA LUKA, MARCH 31 /SRNA/ - The president of the SNSD Milorad Dodik, stated that the term "state property" does not exist in BiH and that a renewed attempt at police reform will not succeed.
"There is property of Republika Srpska, the Federation of BiH, and the Brčko District. If that solution were simply respected, there would be no problems in BiH," Dodik said at a press conference in Banja Luka during a break in the SNSD Presidency session. Speaking about the property of Republika Srpska, Dodik emphasized that it can only be discussed in terms of being made available to barracks and the Armed Forces for as long as they need it, but not registered as their property, since it belongs to the entity. He added that local communities in Republika Srpska are in need of locations where barracks used to be, in order to develop industrial facilities. "Every time we close barracks, it is good for us. We do not perceive the Armed Forces as ours, although I respect our people there who preserve our tradition," Dodik said, adding that the army is not even defined by the Constitution. He stressed that all public assets belong to Republika Srpska and that this will remain the case. "Srpska has no intention of making any concessions or giving anything away," Dodik underlined. Dodik further stated that Bosniaks always unite when they want to carry out what he described as schemes against Republika Srpska, adding that the attempt by Christian Schmidt to regulate the issue has failed, and pointed to allegedly secretly organized commissions that created certain solutions. "All politics at the BiH level has collapsed; it is no longer conducted politically, but is now being implemented through the courts," Dodik said. He added that anyone who mentions Radovan Karadžić or Ratko Mladić faces legal proceedings, noting that dozens of people have already been indicted for this, which he said is unacceptable for Republika Srpska. He assessed that the work of the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH should again be banned in Republika Srpska, claiming their actions have no connection with judicial practice, and added that the Constitutional Court of BiH acts in the same way. "Coordination of police bodies, the very word coordination has no executive function, which is what the Constitutional Court is trying to impose, represents the implementation and revival of the police reform project, which again will not succeed," Dodik concluded.
