TRUMP’S ENVOY AND RUSSIAN DELEGATION TO VISIT REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 8 /SRNA/ – SNSD leader Milorad Dodik announced that a special envoy of US President Donald Trump will visit Republika Srpska at the end of next week, while he will travel to the United States on April 25 or 26, where he is scheduled to hold important meetings.

Dodik confirmed that during his visit to the United States he will receive an award for democracy and freedom from a Catholic university, after which he will visit the Serb community in Illinois. "Then I will travel to Florida in order to, if possible, secure some important meetings," Dodik told reporters in Banja Luka, adding that he will return to Republika Srpska at the beginning of May. He also announced that after celebrating his patron saint's day, Đurđevdan, he will travel to Moscow, where he has been invited to attend the Victory Day military parade. He further stated that a high-level Russian delegation led by the deputy foreign minister will visit Republika Srpska. Speaking about his meeting today with a prominent member of the Serbian community in the United States Olga Ravasi, Dodik said they will discuss further contacts. "Perhaps we are overambitious, but our relationship should be based on what is possible. We have good cooperation with the new US administration, and during the time of this new administration we will try to build relations in the best possible way," Dodik said. He stressed that at the same time, strategic cooperation with the Russian Federation has never been called into question. Dodik said that good cooperation cannot be established with EU administration due to, as he put it, their "base plans" to undermine Republika Srpska, nor can their actions aimed at centralizing BiH be allowed.
