PARIS, MAY 23 /SRNA/ - Roland Garros begins tomorrow on the tennis courts in Paris, and the best Serbian tennis player, Novak Djoković, will play against the Frenchman Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard in the first round in an attempt to win his 25th Grand Slam trophy.

Roland Garros will last until June 7, and Djoković will play tomorrow at 8:15 PM on the "Philippe Chatrier" court. The Serbian tennis player has won Roland Garros three times, in 2016, 2021, and 2023. Last year he reached the semi-finals when he was defeated by the Italian tennis player Jannik Sinner, and their duel this year is not possible before the final. Serbia will also be represented in the men's competition by Miomir Kecmanović and Hamad Međedović. Kecmanović will play tomorrow from 11:00 AM against the Hungarian Fabian Marozsan, and Međedović at around 6:00 PM against the German Yannick Hanfmann. The defending champion in the men's competition, Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, will not play in the French capital due to an injury. Serbia has no representative in the women's competition this year, reports Tanjug. This year's Roland Garros prize fund amounts to 61.7 million euros.
