SUPPORT FOR THE COMPETENT PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE AND THE MINISTRY OF INTERIOR IN UNCOVERING ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES AT THE SREBRENICA MEMORIAL CENTER
SARAJEVO, AUGUST 10 /SRNA/ - SNSD member of the BiH House of Representatives Milorad Kojić expressed his full support for the competent prosecutor’s office and the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior in uncovering all illegal activities within the Srebrenica Memorial Center.
Kojić told SRNA that if there have been illegal activities and tax evasion, those responsible should be held accountable. “Obviously, /Memorial Center Director Emir/ Suljagić has involved the Memorial Center in certain illegal activities that must be prosecuted and those responsible must be held accountable under the laws of Republika Srpska,” Kojić said. He reminded that the Memorial Center had for years been used by Bosniak politicians as a means of demonizing the Serb people and portraying Serb victims as criminals. “You will not succeed in that, gentlemen. Now you will also be held accountable for the abuses you have committed,” Kojić said. Kojić also said that the internal conflict between Suljagić and Hamdija Fejzić, chairman of the Governing Board of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, was their problem. “The laws of Republika Srpska must be respected,” Kojić noted. The list of employees and associates of the Srebrenica Memorial Center, based on which the Republika Srpska Ministry of the Interior has been questioning people in recent days, was provided to the Republika Srpska police by the Memorial Center itself, the Istraga portal reports, pointing out that behind the whole affair lies the continuation of the conflict between Center Director Emir Suljagić and Hamdija Fejzić, chairman of the institution’s Governing Board.
