MORE THAN 110 FLIGHTS CANCELLED DUE TO TYPHOON CHAN-HOM
TOKYO, AUGUST 11 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ - More than 110 flights have been cancelled in Japan due to Typhoon Chan-hom, which is approaching the country, according to an analysis of flight schedules at two airports.
At Haneda Airport, 66 domestic and 14 international flights have been cancelled, while at Narita Airport, 27 international and 11 domestic flights have been cancelled. Typhoon Chan-hom is expected to hit the Kanto region, including Tokyo, later today, before moving further and reaching Kyoto tomorrow. At the same time, the storm is expected to affect several other prefectures, including Nagano, Saitama, Hiroshima and Tottori.
