AT LEAST 188 PEOPLE MISSING IN VALLE DEL CAUCA DEPARTMENT
BOGOTA, AUGUST 11 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - At least 188 people are missing in the Colombian department of Valle del Cauca, "Blu radio" reported, citing Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella.
Espriella confirmed that the death toll has reached 132, while more than 800 people have been injured, the report states. An earthquake with a magnitude of 7.4 on the Richter scale struck Colombia yesterday morning. The epicenter was located near the municipality of San José del Palmar in the Chocó department, and tremors were felt across a large part of Colombia, as well as in neighboring countries.
