DODIK: PRESERVE PEACE AND CONTINUE DEVELOPMENT OF SRPSKA
BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 5 /SRNA/ - SNSD President Milorad Dodik said today in Banja Luka that the party would maintain its policies following its election victory, stressing that it was important to preserve peace and continue the development of Republika Srpska.
After visiting the Church of the Holy Trinity, where he lit candles and prayed with the SNSD's senior officials, and meeting with His Eminence Metropolitan of Banja Luka Jefrem, Dodik said that SNSD was the winning party that had stood with its people for the past 20 years. He said they had come to the church to pray to God and give thanks for everything that had been achieved, as well as for the fact that the election had been held peacefully. "It is important that we preserve peace among us and within us, that this remains a safe place, and that Republika Srpska continues to develop exactly as its people want," Dodik told reporters. He said that the people had unequivocally expressed through the election what SNSD represented through its policies, and that on this occasion they had renewed their pledge and promise to the people and to God that they would remain committed to their policies. "We will remain committed to our policies, and we will demonstrate that in the period ahead," Dodik said. Dodik was accompanied at the church and at the meeting with Metropolitan Jefrem by, among others, Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić and Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović.
