IN MANY VILLAGES SERBS IN THE DARK FOR ALMOST THREE DECADES

BIHAĆ, SEPTEMBER 22 /SRNA/ - Serb returnees in the villages of Trubar, Boboljusci, Veliko and Malo Očijevo, Veliki and Mali Cvjetnić, which before the war belonged to Drvar, and today to Bihać, have been waiting for electricity for 28 years, just like the Serbs in the Grahovo village Tiškovac, but even in such difficult conditions, they are fighting for age-old hearths.

Stevo Rokvić from the village of Trubar told SRNA that there are 22 Serb households in that village. "In winter, there are few who dare to stay in Trubar because there is no mobile phone network, while the macadam road leading to the village is destroyed by trucks transporting logs," said Rokvić. In the village of Tiškovac, located right on the border with Croatia, but territorially belongs to Bosanski Grahovo, there is one child living as well. This schoolboy from the Vladušić family travels 17 kilometers on a macadam road in one direction to school in Bosansko Grahovo every day. In the villages of Drvar towards Glamoč, in Bunčevac and Prekaja, the electricity goes out when the wind blows, and the locals note that sometimes they are in the dark for several days.
