STEVANDIĆ: DANICA CRNOGORČEVIĆ WILL ADD TO CELEBRATION

BANJALUKA, DECEMBER 23 /SRNA/ - The President of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Nenad Stevandić, said that Republic Day, January 9, will be celebrated despite the threats, and that the celebration will be graced with an evening concert by the well-known Montenegrin singer of ethnic and spiritual music, Danica Crnogorčević.

Stevandić also believes that Christian Schmidt's call to EU High Representative for Foreign Policy and Security Jozep Borrell to put pressure on Belgrade and Podgorica so that the officials of Serbia and Montenegro do not attend the celebration of Republika Srpska Day on January 9 represents a kind of interference in the perception of an entire nation. Stevandić reminded that changing the perception of the people was attempted only from 1941 to 1945 in order to achieve the obedience of the people, who instead of the people would become someone's subjects, henchmen or satellites. "The fact is that the unity shown by Republika Srpska is supported by all factors and that it goes beyond any borders, republic, administrative or any other. It is already a matter of recognizing the identity of a people," Stevandić told SRNA. Anyone who wants, he added, to influence that and to forbid the people's identity, perception and recognition of their own culture and values, strives for the destruction of that people. "That has always been treated as a crime and it has always been a dishonorable job. But, if you don't have an official appointment, you don't have any responsibility, so you can do what you want, you just can't work successfully, nor for as long as you want, and Schmidt will soon find it out," said Stevandić.
