KOJIĆ: BiH COURT JUDGE SENA UZUNOVIĆ WAS MEMBER OF SO-CALLED ARMY OF BiH

EAST SARAJEVO, FEBRUARY 5 /SRNA/ - Judge of the Court of BiH Sena Uzunović was a member of the so-called Army of BiH and an assistant commander, therefore she was very consciously assigned to the position of trying the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, the former director of the Republika Srpska Research Centre of War, War Crimes and Tracing Missing Persons, Milorad Kojić.

"Judge Sena Uzunović’s resume shows that she was a member of the so-called Army of BiH, an assistant commander, after she was holding a judicial position in the court in Konjic, which gives us a reasonable doubt that she cannot be impartial and that she was very consciously placed in the position of trying the President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik," Kojić said. Kojić revealed that the Republika Srpska Research Centre of War, War Crimes and Tracing Missing Persons, while he was the director, submitted to the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH information about the judges and prosecutors of the Court and Prosecutor's Office of BiH who performed judicial functions during the armed conflicts in BiH. He clarified that this was done so that those judges and prosecutors, who performed the same work at the time of the information submission as well as during the war, would be removed from those positions for not being objective and impartial. Kojić, who is also a lawyer, stated that Uzunović as a judge suddenly appeared today at the trial of the President of the Republic Dodik without any prior notification to the defence team that there was a judge substitution. "We have every right, considering the biography of Uzunović, to doubt that as a judge in the trial against the president of Republika Srpska, she will impartially hand down judgment to him, therefore to Srpska," pointed out Kojić. The Republic Centre’s information, which is in SRNA’s possession, indicates that the fact of her serving as assistant commander for legal affairs in the 5th Mountain Brigade of the Army of BiH during the war, which is clearly visible from the June 1993 document that states her function when taking statements from witnesses proves the bias of Uzunović, who was then the prosecutor of the Prosecutor's Office of BiH. As an attachment, the Centre submitted the record of taking a statement from Tulić Husnija from the 5th Mountain Brigade of the so-called Army of BiH dated June 3, 1993. "It is also clear that today's prosecutor Uzunović was an investigative judge during the period of war conflicts, and her participating in the court process against some persons who were legally convicted before the ICTY for crimes against Serbs is characteristic as she did not find it appropriate to prosecute those crimes then, but she tried them for the murder of a Muslim in Čelebić", reads the information submitted to the Supreme Court of Justice. Uzunović is the judge who substituted Mirsad Strika in the trial before the Court of BiH against the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik.
