REPORT OF INTERNATIONAL COMMISSION LEADS TO RECONCILIATION, NOT UN RESOLUTION

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 18 /SRNA/ - The Prime Minister of Republika Srpska Radovan Višković said that the Government, having accepted the Report of the Independent International Commission for Researching the Suffering of All Peoples in the Srebrenica Region from 1992-1995. year, wanted to obtain true data, which is not the wish of those who sponsor the resolution on Srebrenica in the UN.

In his address to the National Assembly of Republika Srpska at a special session, Višković pointed out that the Serbs experienced genocide and that now those who committed it are sponsoring the disputed resolution, adding that all this is to the detriment of the Bosniak people. "You will see one day that this is your biggest mistake. You are calling for coexistence and unity and swearing in BiH. This is not reconciliation. Reconciliation is this report in the National Assembly," Višković stressed. He pointed out that the Independent International Commission stated that it worked independently and without pressure and that the goal was to get objective facts. "This commission addressed the institutions in Sarajevo and asked them to provide information and names of participants who would work in the Commission. They always received a negative response or none at all," Višković said. He emphasized that the work of the Commission was led by Gideon Greif, one of the world's greatest authorities on the study of the Holocaust, and that the conclusion was that the events in Srebrenica cannot be characterized as genocide, which is clearly defined by the adopted UN Convention. "We should not be told here what is being told to some people. Name one of the execution grounds of the Muslim people in World War II," emphasized Višković, reacting to the discussion of SDA MP Ramiz Salkić. He reminded that even the Germans, who tried to save the Serbs in Podrinje, were horrified by the crimes committed by Muslims against the Serbs in the Second World War. "There are Garavice, Jastrebarsko, Jasenovac... This resolution on Srebrenica aims to wash the conscience of those who committed the genocide. Just look at who is the proposer. It is the countries that really committed the genocide. Now the rest of humanity should deal with the Serbs as genocidal nations", stated Višković. He stressed that there would be 30 million Serbs today if there had been no suffering in the last century, and stated that throughout history Serbs have always defended their homes and families and that they never went to wars of conquest. Višković emphasized that the German Nazis committed terrible crimes in World War II, but that the Germans also showed brutality in Rwanda by cutting off heads with knives. "Now it is them submitting a resolution to the UN that the Serbs are genocidal. I know the background to that. Bosniaks think that if the UN passes it, there will be calls and shouts to abolish Republika Srpska. It will not happen!" emphasized Višković. Višković said that because of the submitted resolution, the voting rules in the UN are being changed only with the aim of adopting the disputed document. "This world is going into a cataclysm. You don't think that what is happening in the world is genocide, but in Srebrenica it is. Jasenovac, Brod na Drini, Jadovno, is that not genocide in your opinion? Each of these places has several times more victims than Srebrenica. The Serbs in Podrinje were killed before July 1995," Višković stated. He pointed to the crimes committed by members of Muslim units in Kravica when women and children were killed on their doorstep. "We will never agree with Ramiz Salkić. We have to declare today the findings of the Commission, experts from 10 countries in the world. We are talking about the greatest authorities," Višković stressed. He emphasized that the Government of Republika Srpska, having accepted the Report of the Independent International Commission for Researching the Suffering of All Peoples in the Srebrenica Region from 1992-1995. year, did not revise history, but wanted to obtain true data. Višković also pointed to the work of the judiciary in Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina Serbs are judged according to the law of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Bosniaks according to the law of the former Yugoslavia due to lighter sentences. "Bosniaks are tried as if they were robbing a store, and because of that, the verdicts for the murder of children, as was the case with the murder of the boy Slobodan Stojanović, are shameful," Višković noted. In the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, a discussion is underway on the report of the Independent International Commission for the Investigation of the Suffering of All Peoples in the Srebrenica Region in the Period of 1992-1995.
