ONE ISLAMIC COUNTRY, CLOSE TO BOSNIAKS, DEMANDS ALL CRIMES TO BE CONDEMNED

BANJA LUKA, APRIL 28 /SRNA/ - Political analyst Vojisalv Savić stated that an Islamic country, otherwise close to Bosniaks, submitted amendments to the "resolution on Srebrenica" to condemn all crimes, both in the First and Second World War and those happening today, emphasizing that Srebrenica will not be able to be isolated and presented as sui generis.

"If those amendments are rejected, and they probably will be, then the question is whether Islamic countries will support this resolution," Savić pointed out, stating that the voting results will be surprising. He noted that a good part of the world understood the political background and the political instrumentalization of the resolution on Srebrenica thanks to the joint activity of the diplomacy of Srpska and Serbia. According to him, those who brought up the matter of the resolution on Srebrenica in the UN did not expect this development of events. "The fact that the voting in the UN General Assembly was postponed twice shows that the situation is not simple and that it is not going as smoothly as the proponents of the resolution thought," Savić stressed. He pointed out that it is important for citizens to understand the complexity of the situation. "This is a precedent for decisions to be made in this way. BiH is already a subject dealt with in the UN. The UN Security Council deals with BiH twice a year, because BiH is a country that was at war," Savić stated. Reminding that the resolution on Srebrenica did not pass in the Security Council, Savić said that they have now tried to deceive the international public and move the issue to the UN General Assembly, adding that this is not the way it should be done.
