SARAJEVO, JUNE 9 /SRNA/ - Tomorrow will be marked 32 years since the crimes against Serb civilians committed by members of Muslim units in Čemerno in the federal municipality of Ilijaš, announced the Republic Organization of Families of Captured and Killed Soldiers and Missing Civilians.

The crime against Serb civilians in the village of Čemerno took place in the early morning hours of June 10, 1992, when it was attacked by Muslim units from the villages of Korita, Mahmutovića Rijeka and Orahovo. During the attack on Čemerno, almost all the inhabitants were killed, and the perpetrators had a clear order from their superiors to destroy everything in this place. Members of the then Territorial Defense of Breza killed 32 Serb civilians and soldiers, most of whom were old men, women and children, and blew the village off the earth. The youngest victim was 16 years old, the oldest 80. As in other Muslim attacks on Serb villages, everything that could be taken away was looted and taken from Čemerno. The village was destroyed and burned. According to the marking program, a gathering is planned at 10:45 a.m. in Nišići, near the Church of St. Peter and Paul, and at 11:00 a.m. departure to Čemerno. The memorial service at the monument in Čemerno will be held at 12:30 p.m. and the return to Nišići is planned at 2:00 p.m. In the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the trial against the accused for the crimes committed against the Serbs in Čemerno is ongoing. Džemal Hadžić, Teufik Turudić, Džemal Smolo, Senad, Haris and Benjamin Sikira, Enes Durak, Mirsad, Nusret and Mirzet Bešlija, and Nehru Ganić were accused of the crimes committed in this village on June 10, 1992.
