CROATIA IS FRANTICALLY FIGHTING AGAINST WORDING "GENOCIDE AGAINST THE SERBS IN JASENOVAC"

BELGRADE, JULY 25 /SRNA/ - The director of the Veritas Documentary-Information Centre Savo Štrbac said that Croatia is frantically fighting to ensure that the wording "genocide against the Serbs in Jasenovac /NDH/" does not appear in any document for fear of a review of the complaint to the International Court of Justice about the Storm operation, to which Serbia has the right.

Štrbac stated that the Croats do not mind talking about the genocide against the Roma in Jasenovac, approximately 16,000 of whom, according to their official data, perished, nor do they mind it being said that the genocide against 13,000 Jews was committed, but everyone tries to avoid tying that word to Serbs, who, according to their data, suffered the most. "How can there be genocide against 13,000, but not against 48,000 Serbs listed by name and surname. Scientist from Croatia will say, well, we didn't kill all the Serbs in the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/, but something else is hidden there," Štrbac believes. In his opinion, the desire of the Croats not to include the wording "genocide against Serbs in Jasenovac /NDH/" in any official document, neither theirs nor that of their neighborus over whom they have influence, hides the fear of a review of the complaint to the International Court of Justice about the Storm operation to which Serbia, as a party to the proceedings, has the right until February of the following year. He recalled that the International Court of Justice said that Storm operation was not genocide, because "genocidal intent" was lacking, but that such an intent could now be inferred and that the court could accept the revision request. "I believe that everything that happened after the verdict, including Jasenovac and everything they are doing to the Serbs today, especially with the entry of the Homeland Movement into power, where they ultimately demand that there be no Serbs in any form in that state structure, genocidal intent could be easily got," said Štrbac.
