SANSKI MOST SHOOTING SUSPECT STABLE AFTER SURGERY
BANJA LUKA, AUGUST 22 /SRNA/ - A male person suspected of murdering three people in Sanski Most is stable after surgery, says Marko Kantar, the head of the Thoracic Surgery Clinic of the Republika Srpska University Clinical Centre /UCC/.
The man responsible for High School Centre shooting in Sanski Most yesterday attempted suicide, and was transported to the UCC due to his injuries. Kantar stated that the patient was admitted yesterday with a gunshot wound to the chest, profuse bleeding and life-threatening injuries. "His lungs, which are a vital organ, were injured, and after emergency intervention, the injuries were taken care of, so now the patient is stable and is in intensive care. We expect him to remain stable and to be transferred to the ward soon," said Kantar. UCC General Director, Vlado Đajić, says the UCC has proven once again that it is equipped with modern diagnostics with great experts ready to respond to the most demanding surgeries. "We will do our best to improve our UCC more," said Đajić. The school principal, secretary and teacher were killed in the shooting at the High School Centre in Sanski Most yesterday. The shooter V.M. attempted suicide, the Una-Sana Canton Interior Ministry confirmed earlier. Head of the Cantonal MoI Police Administration, Amel Kozlica, says the shooter used an automatic rifle which brought unnoticed into the school premises.
