VJEŠTICA: NO FACTORY IN BiH HAS TECHNOLOGY FOR DRONE PRODUCTION

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 11 /SRNA/ - The CEO of the Kosmos business company from Banja Luka, Dušan Vještica, says that he has knowledge that none of the factories in BiH with which they cooperate have the technology for drone production due to specific production.

Vještica explained to SRNA that when it comes to the production of drones, it is a very complex technology in two segments, the first of which refers to the production of the control stepper motor that drives the propeller, and the second to the central processor that controls the aircraft. Commenting on Defence Minister Zukan Helez's statement that BiH produces drones in five places, which is not secret, Vještica pointed out that such statements serve to improve one's own political rating. Vještica said that a drone as an aircraft with available technologies cannot be produced in BIh without purchasing a part of the technology, which consists of the central processor, and maybe even stepper motors at this stage. "BiH is not at the technological level to be able to produce a central processor for controlling a drone," pointed out Vještica. Commenting on the information that unknown drones recently appeared above the barracks of the Armed Forces of BiH, military facilities and warehouses, Vještica said that Kosmos Banja Luka is a military industry factory that can operate and maintain anti-aircraft systems of the Armed Forces of BiH, and that as a professional he does not understand what does it mean to report flying objects to security agencies. According to him, the Armed Forces of BiH can turn to Kosmos, which will carry out an overhaul of such systems so that they can manage security above their facilities, if not above the entire sky of BiH. Speaking about the current production in Kosmos Banja Luka, Vještica said that this company primarily deals with air defence in the military industry, stressing that it has been the regional leader in that sector of production for years. He said that Kosmos produces various components for anti-aircraft defence systems where they have adopted technologies, i.e., they perform overhaul, maintenance and servicing of various anti-aircraft defence systems. The Klix portal announced yesterday that the drones, which were recently presented at the Zenica Trade Fair as a product of the Technical Technological Testing Centre Sarajevo, were imported from China and have nothing to do with BiH.
