NEŠKOVIĆ WITHDRAWED BILL AMENDING CONSTITUTIONAL COURT LAW
SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 15 /SRNA/ - The deputy of the Serb People Caucus in the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Želimir Nešković has withdrawn the bill amending the Law on BiH Constitutional Court, which he submitted to the parliamentary procedure seven months ago.
As the main reasons for the withdrawal of this bill, due to which Bosniak deputies refised to attend the sessions, Nešković stated that he did not want to influence others to block the House of Peoples. "I did this for the sake of the Serb people, but also for the other two constitutive peoples in BiH so that we could talk and come up with common solutions," Nešković told the press in Sarajevo. He emphasized that he remains of the position that foreign judges should leave the Constitutional Court of BiH, and that the the international community's influence in BiH should decrease year by year so that the peoples of BiH can come to an agreement and make their own decisions. Nešković added that some politicians from the Federation of BiH are not ready to talk about this topic, adding that he will advocate for BiH not being a protectorate, i.e. to be under the protectorate of the international community as little as possible. "This is about the lack of democracy in BiH and the lack of dialogue," concluded Nešković and added that he had been pressured to withdraw this billl before. The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly Dragan Čović announced that the continuation of the interrupted session will be held on October 29, which will practically end the blockade of this House.
