LUKIĆ: ALIJA IZETBEGOVIĆ IS NOT WORTH "P" OUT OF PEACEMAKER

BELGRADE, OCTOBER 18 /SRNA/ - Muslim war leader in BiH Alija Izetbegović is not even "P" out of peacemaker - all his activities were aimed at deepening the war and insisting on it, lawyer Branko Lukić told SRNA.
"What a peacemaker... well, he withdrew his signature from the agreement that ensured that BiH would go without war, albeit at the persuasion or order of /the last US ambassador to the SFRY before its disintegration, Warren/ Zimmerman, but he withdrew his signature, and the withdrawal of that signature was a prelude to war," said Lukić, who defended General Ratko Mladić in The Hague. He recalled that Alija Izetbegović and the Croatian representatives organized the referendum that took place on February 29 and March 1, 1992, excluding the Serb people, "even though he knew that he was dragging the country into instability and war." "Well, on March 1, a member of his SDA party kills the wedding party guest, Gardović in Baščaršija – that wedding guest was groom's father and Orthodox priest, which is an event no one mentions. A member of the SDA /Ramiz Delalić/ Ćelo kills him, Serbian priest, he certainly didn't go out alone /to do it/," said Lukić. According to him, everything that Alija Izetbegović did, he did to provoke a war, to prolong the war and to get the NATO to bomb positions under Serb control. "We know the statement of the wartime police chief in Srebrenica Hakija Meholjić, where he asked Meholjic that 5,000 Bosniaks be killed so the NATO forces could bomb positions under the control of Serbs . Is that a peacemaker," Lukić asked. He pointed out that the "peacemaker" Alija Izetbegović wanted to seize the entire BiH For this purpose, Lukić stated, they began to marginalize the Serb people, to make decisions without them. The West was taking the side of such actions, because it was in favour of breaking up Yugoslavia, which continued in the 2000s. "Alija Izetbegović is a man who decided to take advantage of the West, which has already started to break up Yugoslavia and completed a part of it, in order to seize roughly the entire BiH," said Lukić. He noted that the Serbs were not against BiH, but they were against being excluded from decision-making in the bodies of BiH. "Why did the Serbs leave the Assembly of BiH? Because, when they left the regular assembly, an assembly was scheduled in the evening where Croats and representatives of the Muslim people at that time organised a referendum without the presence of Serbs," Lukić recalled. He pointed out that Alija Izetbegović was an Islamist who also wrote in his "Islamic Declaration" that Muslims and non-Muslims cannot live together. Lukić emphasized that Alija Izetbegović usurped the position of president and presented himself as the president of BiH, which he never was. "He was the chair of the BiH Presidency for one year and someone else should have come by rotation. He prevented that with his tricks, usurped power and is the most responsible for everything that happened in BiH, because he was not democratically elected," said Lukić. He reminded that he was not democratically elected, but stole the seat in the Presidency from Fikret Abdić, who received more votes. "If Alija Izetbegović had been tried, and he should have been tried in The Hague, he would have been handed down a life sentence," said Lukić. Lukić describes the presentation of Alija Izetbegović as a peacemaker as "a joking with history". "He is not even `P` out of peacemaker," concluded Lukić. Numerous Bosniak government representatives from FBiH harshly criticized Christian Schmidt, who said that it is necessary to create a common curriculum in education, and that the textbooks contain "unacceptable photos" of the former commander of the Main Staff of the Republika Srpska Army General Ratko Mladić and the Muslim war leader Alija Izetbegović. The OHR then, clarifying Schmidt's statement, announced that Alija Izetbegović "was a key figure in achieving peace and the Dayton Peace Agreement, and saved many lives with his actions." Alija Izetbegović /1925-2003/, author of the Islamic Declaration, wartime leader of the Muslim army, long-term leader of the Party of Democratic Action and former member of the BiH Presidency, died 21 years ago, on October 19, 2003.
