SIPA INVESTIGATORS DID NOT FIND DAYTON AGREEMENT ON OFFICIAL UN WEBSITE
SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 13 /SRNA/ - Investigator of the State Investigation and Protection Agency /SIPA/ of BiH Petar Đukić testified in the trial of Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik, saying that on orders from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, he attempted to locate the Dayton Agreement and Annex 10 on the official UN website, but he found only an accompanying document from then-U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright from 1995.
Đukić explained that he and his SIPA colleagues received this order from the BiH Prosecutor's Office in September. Their examination of the UN website revealed that the Dayton Agreement's actual text was unavailable. Đukić has said that investigative actions were taken, and a report was submitted to the BiH Prosecutor's Office, with all findings recorded on a CD. He added that all documents in English were sent to the Prosecutor's Office, which then forwarded them to a translator. He testified that in May, they received an order from the BiH Prosecutor's Office to locate President Dodik's speech from the Kozara Battle commemoration on the N1 website and document their findings. The content found was also transferred to a CD. Four minutes of President Dodik's 24-minute speech were selected and presented today in the courtroom. Following Đukić's testimony, a 10-minute recess was taken, after which another BiH Prosecutor's Office witness, also an investigator from SIPA, Nikola Đukić, is scheduled to testify. The first part of today's hearing for Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik and acting director of the Official Gazette Miloš Lukić before the BiH Court focused on the translation of documents into Serbian and Cyrillic. Judge Sena Uzunović indicated that the hearing of two witnesses would be completed today, even if it extends past the scheduled end time of 16:00. The BiH Prosecutor's Office has charged Dodik and Lukić with "disregarding Christian Schmidt's decisions," leading to this legal process before the BiH Court.
