ZVORNIK ARREST CONTINUATION OF JUDICIAL CREATION OF PUBLIC OPINION THAT SERBS ARE WAR CRIMINALS

DOBOJ, DECEMBER 7 /SRNA/ - The Doboj War Veterans Organisation strongly condemned the arrest of former members of the Republika Srpska Army /RSA/ from Zvornik, judging that it is a continuation of the pressure on Serbs and the bias of the judiciary, which in this way creates the public opinion that Serbs are war criminals, while Muslims are the victims of the last war.

The chair of the Assembly of the Doboj City War Veterans Organisation, Petar Tubić, says that the latest arrest in Zvornik represents the continuation of legal violence against Serbs and ignoring of Serb victims. "The Prosecutor's Office and the Court of BiH do not initiate or indefinitely postpone cases against Muslim war criminals," Tubić told SRNA. According to him, the hypocrisy over justice and Serb victims is best reflected in the fact that one such case taken over by the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH 12 years ago is stll "in the investigation phase". Using the example of Doboj, he pointed out that even 30 years later, there is no indictment for 99 civilians killed and 399 wounded during the shelling of this city by the so-called Army of BiH, although the names of the war criminals are known and the Doboj police submitted a report to the judiciary. Tubić reminded that only in April 1994 in Doboj, four young civilians were killed and five were seriously wounded during the shelling of the narrowest part of the city from the positions of the so-called Army of BiH.
