SPAJIĆ: I WILL INSIST ON PROCESSING THOSE RESPONSIBLE FOR CRIMES IN LORA PRISON CAMP
PODGORICA, MARCH 26 /SRNA/ - Montenegrin Prime Minister Milojko Spajić has said today that war crimes were committed in the Lora prison camp in Split, against detained Montenegrins and Serbs, which the Croatian courts also confirmed, stressing that he is ready to persevere to the end in prosecuting those responsible and compensating the victims.
"War crimes do not become statute-barred, and the crimes in Lora prison camp were confirmed through convicting rulings against the prison warden and the guard. Unfortunately, the testimonies on the Montenegrin citizens who were captured and killed there have not yet met their epilogue," Spajić said during the prime minister's hour in the Parliament of Montenegro. Spajić says it is important to put an end to the past and fully investigate all allegations of war crimes for the region to make a step forward and achieve the best good neighbourly relations.
