GOGANOVIĆ VISITS REPUBLIKA SRPSKA REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE IN WASHINGTON: BETTER DAYS AHEAD OF SRPSKA

WASHINGTON, APRIL 26 /SRNA/ - Deputy Defense Minister in the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović met with the Head of the Republika Srpska Representative Office in Washington, Drina Vlastelić Rajić, and they concluded that Republika Srpska’s position has changed and that there is increasing understanding of the situation in BiH.
"Until now, the narrative was that the Serbian people were to blame for all the problems in BiH. We have established good connections with the new American administration and will continue to strengthen our relations in the coming period. I am convinced that the Serbian people will become a key partner of the American people in this part of Europe," Goganović told SRNA after a meeting at the Srpska Representative Office in Washington. He emphasized that the Bosniak lobby, influenced by irresponsible individuals from political Sarajevo, persistently tries to blame the Serbian people and Republika Srpska for all the problems. "Unlike them, we are not conducting a campaign against BiH or any of its peoples. We are explaining the current political situation, insisting on respect for the Dayton Peace Agreement, and opposing the imposition of decisions, which is in line with the policy advocated by U.S. President Donald Trump," Goganović explained. He said that better days are ahead for Republika Srpska, and that they could also be better for the whole of BiH if Bosniak politicians realize that most problems can be solved through constructive dialogue. "The President of Republika Srpska, Milorad Dodik, consistently calls on all relevant political actors to engage in talks and reach agreements, and it is up to them to decide whether they will accept his invitation. But they must understand that only through compromise can we work toward a better future for all peoples in BiH," Goganović concluded.
