SERBIAN PEOPLE DESERVE A SINGLE STATE, THIS IS PATH THAT CANNOT BE STOPPED

KOZARSKA DUBICA, APRIL 27 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik said today in Donja Gradina that the Serbian people deserve to have a single state and that he is fully convinced that this path cannot be stopped.
"Our motivation is to ensure peace on that path, to achieve our goals through political processes; we don’t want anyone to suffer," Dodik said in his address at the commemoration of the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Genocide against Serbs, Jews, and Roma in the Independent State of Croatia from 1941 to 1945, and the 80th anniversary of the breakout of inmates from the Jasenovac concentration camp. He emphasized that freedom is the sacred word of the Serbian people. "Our success is our unity. Our states are a guarantee for the future," Dodik said. He also emphasized that Republika Srpska is sacred to Serbs, while Serbia is their state. "We oppose anyone who tries to undermine our holy place, Republika Srpska. The Serbian people deserve that we resist anyone who attempts to break apart our Church or the Serbian nation. We must tell them that those times are over. No matter how much they talk about needing to turn to new realities, we cannot accept that," Dodik said. He expressed gratitude to the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and his team for their ability to recognize and respond appropriately to attempts to weaken and destroy Serbia. "Success is our unity. And Serbia must succeed. Many people don’t understand the processes. We in Republika Srpska do not hide that we belong to one great Serbian nation. Germany unified on the narrative of East and West, on the idea that they are one people, and we were handed the narrative that we are 'Bosnian' Serbs, so that we wouldn't be considered Serbs and wouldn't be able to reunite with our people one day in history. History is inevitable," Dodik said. He thanked Vučić for taking such strong responsibility to ensure progress in the construction of the memorial center as early as next year. "We must leave behind this memorial center. Long live Republika Srpska! Long live Serbia! Long live the memory of all the innocent people who suffered, the ruthlessly killed Serbs, Jews, and Roma," Dodik said. The Day of Remembrance for the Victims of Genocide against Serbs, Jews, and Roma in the Independent State of Croatia from 1941 to 1945, and the 80th anniversary of the breakout from the Jasenovac concentration camp, is jointly commemorated by the governments of Republika Srpska and Serbia. According to the data from the Donja Gradina Memorial Area, 700,000 victims of the Ustasha crimes perished in the notorious Jasenovac camp during World War II, including 500,000 Serbs, 40,000 Roma, 33,000 Jews, and 127,000 anti-fascists. Among the victims in Jasenovac were 20,000 children.
