KOVAČEVIĆ: DODIK'S CALL SENDS MESSAGE - CRISIS IS RESOLVED ONLY THROUGH DIALOGUE

BANJA LUKA, MAY 12 /SRNA/ - Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik's call for a meeting in Doboj on May 14 of all parliamentary parties at the BiH level sends an important, concrete message that the crisis in BiH can only be resolved through dialogue between key internal factors, namely the representatives of the three peoples and two entities, which is why it is important who will respond, said SNSD spokesman Radovan Kovačević.
He noted that the SNSD is relevant to initiate talks in BiH, because it is the largest party in BiH with the impressively largest number of votes, more than the SDA and all the "Troika" parties, as well as the HDZ and all others. Kovačević emphasized that the SNSD is the largest political party, the most represented in the government structures in BiH and Republika Srpska, and that Dodik’s understanding the UN Security Council's message that the BiH crisis can be resolved through dialogue of key internal factors is commendable. "Whether one will reject talks and dialogue, as one is used to rejecting them and not conducting any dialogue, but rather trying to choose among the Serbs those who do not matter and try to do something against Republika Srpska with them, is another matter. They are fully free to do that. But it certainly does not lead to a brighter future for BiH," Kovačević told Federal TV. Speaking about what caused the crisis in BiH, Kovačević pointed out that the former US ambassador to BiH, Michael Murphy, asked Bosniaks to freely ignore all constitutionally determined procedures, all agreements with Serbs and Croats in order for them to make decisions in their own interest, i.e. in the interest of BiH, adding that all this was conveyed to him by "a friend from the Bosniak political structure". "When one of the representatives of the Bosniak parties asked Murphy at that meeting - what will we do if the Serbs or Croats do the same and ignore us in the places where they can and make decisions on behalf of BiH completely independently, then Murphy answered them - then the Court and the Prosecutor's Office will punish them strictly and urgently," stated Kovačević. According to him, the intervention of Christian Schmidt and Michael Murphy, who encouraged Schmidt and Bosniak politics to ignore Serbs and Croats and to perceive BiH exclusively as the country of Bosniaks and those Serbs and Croats who are ready to obey their will, caused the crisis. "What made it impossible for the crisis to be resolved in the way they wished for was that Murphy left, that the US policy towards BiH has completely changed, so now we hear from the US representative before the UN Security Council, which the Federation unfortunately ignores, that they do not support Schmidt as they did not mention him for the first time, but they support the Office of the High Representative in accordance with Annex 10," Kovačević said. He pointed out that the answer and formula for solving the crisis in BiH can only be found in what was said before the UN Security Council, which is a dialogue between the key internal factors in BiH.
