ŠKIPINA: POLITICAL SARAJEVO CONTINUES ANTI-SERB PROPAGANDA, BUT IT HAS NO EFFECT - FOREIGNERS ARE INCREASINGLY AWARE OF THEIR THEATRICS

PALE, JUNE 18 /SRNA/ - The Sarajevo "Troika," with the wholehearted support of the "Troika" from Republika Srpska, is persistently engaging in propaganda against Republika Srpska and its officials, to portray an alleged security crisis in BiH, Damjan Škipina, a member of the Republika Srpska National Assembly, told SRNA.

"This smear campaign against Republika Srpska and its officials has been going on for years, and it all culminated after the imposition of laws and decisions by the illegitimate /High Representative/ Christian Schmidt. Since then, pressure on Serbs has intensified through all 'available means' of propaganda, aimed at creating a lynch-like atmosphere and portraying an alleged security crisis in BiH," Škipina said. He said that the goal of this propaganda was to "normalize" the persecution of Republika Srpska representatives and Ministry of Internal Affairs officials. "It is a false narrative pushed by the Bosniaks, together with the `Troika` from Srpska, in an attempt to cover up the fact that they are the ones obstructing the establishment of normal dialogue, encouraged in this by the British and the Germans," Škipina said. On the other hand, he added, there are clear messages from relevant actors, including EUFOR, that the situation in BiH is stable and that it is evident to everyone that this is a constitutional and political crisis caused by Schmidt. He also recalled that at yesterday's meeting between the Minister of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Siniša Karan, and the Commander of the EUFOR Mission in BiH, Florin-Marian Barbu, it was stated that cooperation between EUFOR and the Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs is good, and that the security situation in the territory of the Republic is favorable and stable. "No matter how much political Sarajevo tries to portray the constitutional and political crisis, created by Schmidt, as a security issue, they, unfortunately for them, are failing in that attempt. I believe that most foreign officials have finally become aware of the political Sarajevo’s theatrics and falsehoods, especially after the shameful cancellation of the European Rabbis Conference, which amounts to a diplomatic scandal," Škipina concluded.
