CVIJANOVIĆ SCHEDULES SESSION FOR NEXT WEEK, AMBASSADOR BAŠIĆ’S DISMISSAL ON AGENDA

EAST SARAJEVO, JUNE 27 /SRNA/ – Serb member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović has scheduled a Presidency session for next week, with the dismissal of BiH Ambassador to the Council of Europe Haris Bašić listed as one of the items on the agenda, SRNA has learned.

The Head of the Office of the Serb member and Chairwoman of the Presidency, Dušan Petrović, announced yesterday that at the first upcoming session, the Serb member of the Presidency would formally request Bašić's dismissal. Bašić, without the authorization of the BiH Presidency, which is the only institution constitutionally authorized to create and conduct foreign policy, unilaterally assumed the right to vote on behalf of BiH in favour of an agreement to establish a "special tribunal for the crimes of Russia's aggression in Ukraine."
