SERBIAN SOLDIER HAS ALWAYS FOUGHT IN LIBERATION WARS, NEVER IN WARS OF CONQUEST

TREBINJE, JUNE 28 /SRNA/ - Deputy Defense Minister in the Council of Ministers Aleksandar Goganović stated today in Trebinje that the Serbian soldier has never fought wars of conquest, but always wars of liberation, bringing freedom not only to his people but also to others in this region.

At the central ceremony marking Vidovdan, the patron saint's day of the Republika Srpska Army and the Third Infantry /Republika Srpska/ Regiment, Goganović emphasized that Vidovdan is a symbol of suffering, courage, and unity of the Serbian people. "Even today, various attacks in different forms are being carried out against Republika Srpska, which is why it is very important that we unite around our Serbian Orthodox Church and the institutions of Republika Srpska,” Goganović told reporters. According to him, the institutions of Republika Srpska, led by President Milorad Dodik, are pursuing a wise policy, one of peace and diplomacy. He also added that a clear message is being sent from Trebinje to all irresponsible individuals who dream of the disappearance of Republika Srpska that they are mere transient politicians, while Republika Srpska is an eternal entity. "We owe it to the best Serbian sons who gave their lives to Republika Srpska to preserve, strengthen, and encourage it, together with all others who wish to live here with us," emphasized Goganović. He said that Republika Srpska desires peace and life in unity. "But they simply must stop the constant attacks on Republika Srpska, because we will not allow it," Goganović said.
