BANJA LUKA, JULY 22 /SRNA/ – The Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Oleg Korobchenko stated today in Banja Luka that they came to Republika Srpska with the intention to build economic cooperation, but also cooperation in culture, youth, and other areas.

"We should not deal with politics; the most important thing is the economy," Korobchenko, who is also the Minister of Industry and Trade, said at a press conference. After the meeting with the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and the working meeting between the delegations of Srpska and Tatarstan, Korobchenko said that the visiting delegation includes representatives from the ministries of youth and culture, universities, and representatives of municipalities involved in industry and agriculture. "Agriculture is very developed; we fully supply our Republic with products and export 30 percent of those agricultural products," Korobchenko emphasized. He added that Tatarstan is the most economically developed region in Russia, with a GDP exceeding $60 billion dollars. "We produce and process oil, and we have developed shipbuilding and aircraft construction," said Korobchenko. He added that more than four million people live in Tatarstan, with 175 different nationalities, half of whom are Muslim and half Christian, but that coexistence is at a high level.
