VRANJEŠ: CEC ACCEPTED TO BE TOOL OF FOREIGN OCCUPATION ADMINISTRATION

BELGRADE, AUGUST 6 /SRNA/ - Ambassador of BiH to Serbia Aleksandar Vranješ told SRNA that the illegal decision of the Central Election Commission /CEC/ of BiH to terminate the mandate of the legally and legitimately elected President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik is a continuation of the confrontation with Republika Srpska, its institutions and the will of the Serb people to independently elect their representatives without external influences and pressures.

"Guided by a rigged process against the president of Republika Srpska based on a false criminal offense imposed by a non-existent high representative, the CEC agreed to be another tool of the foreign occupation administration with the aim of attacking the institutional and democratic capacities of Republika Srpska," Vranješ pointed out. Reminding that President Dodik stated that surrender is not an option, Vranješ assessed that an institutional response from Republika Srpska can be expected. "It is important to emphasize that we are witnessing the complete dismantling of the Dayton Peace Agreement, and therefore of the state union of BiH, by international actors and their henchmen in Sarajevo," said Vranješ. He pointed out that this is why gathering around the constitutional institutions of Republika Srpska and the homogenization of the Serb people is an urgent need so that the representatives of the Serb people have as strong a foundation as possible in further political struggles for the survival of Srpska. "The President of Republika Srpska was not elected by Bosniaks, nor by international actors, but if we now obey their orders, pressures, changes - we can expect that in the future," concluded Vrašnješ. CEC made a decision to terminate the mandate after the Appellate Division of the Court of BiH upheld an earlier first-instance verdict in which the President of the Republika Srpska was sentenced to one year in prison and six years of political activity ban "for disobeying the decisions of Christian Schmidt".
