MINIĆ: WE WILL CONTINUE SUPPORT MEASURES FOR SERBS IN THE FEDERATION OF BIH

BANJA LUKA, SEPTEMBER 2 /SRNA/ – Aware of the responsibility towards Republika Srpska, as well as for the survival of the Serb people in BiH, and with the aim of preserving their national, cultural, and spiritual identity, the Government of Republika Srpska will continue in this mandate to implement measures of support and assistance to the Serb population in the territory of the Federation of BiH, stated the Prime Minister-designate of Republika Srpska Savo Minić.

Presenting the Government's program in the National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Minić said that this approach will be based on principles of mutual cooperation, institutional connectivity, and the preservation of equality for the Serb people. In this context, he emphasized that the implementation of the Protocol on Support from Republika Srpska to the municipalities of Bosanski Petrovac, Drvar, Glamoč, and Bosansko Grahovo, as well as to areas in the Federation of BiH where Serbs live and work, will continue as a framework for systematic and comprehensive cooperation. Minić underlined that the Government will be a reliable support and partner for Serbs in the Federation, taking care of their needs and interests within constitutional and legal competencies. Reminding that Republika Srpska has never had more sincere friends on the international political scene, Minić said that the entity enjoys a favorable international position, which the future Government will further enhance. "The task of the new Government will also be to deepen cooperation with all our sincere and well-intentioned friends from Europe and the world. Sovereignty in the world succeeds on the wings of this ideology, which prioritizes the people as the bearers of sovereignty. We will position Republika Srpska as a consistent respecter of international law and an equal interlocutor for all," said Minić. WE WILL BE UNRESERVEDLY AT THE DISPOSAL OF CITIZENS AND INSTITUTIONS OF REPUBLIKA SRPSKA He thanked the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik for the trust shown in nominating him to the National Assembly as candidate for the Prime Minister. "I also thank the previous Prime Minister of Republika Srpska, Radovan Višković, as well as all Government members, who performed their duties professionally. I had the honor to work in the previous Government, which provides a solid foundation for us to continue acting in the interest of Republika Srpska and every citizen in the entity," Minić said. Addressing the MPs, Minić stressed that they represent the direct expression of the will of the people of Republika Srpska and expressed hope that he would receive their support for the formation of the new Government and its strategic directions. "Honorable Members of Parliament, respected citizens of Republika Srpska, my door is open to everyone. The Government is elected for a limited and short term, but this can positively influence the Cabinet members. We have little time in which we must achieve remarkable results. I am ready to engage with everyone, and I expect the same from all ministers in my Cabinet – to be unreservedly and constantly available to the citizens and our institutions," Minić said at the end of his address in the National Assembly.
