FORTO, IN PURSUIT OF CHEAP POLITICAL POINTS, ATTEMPTS TO UNDERMINE SOVEREIGNTY OF RS

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, SEPTEMBER 13 /SRNA/ – Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications in the Council of Ministers, Ognjen Janjić, sharply condemned the statement by Minister Edin Forto, who called on foreign officials to tour the entire territory of BiH, including Republika Srpska.

“This call represents an attempt to undermine the sovereignty of Republika Srpska and ignores the decisions of its legitimate institutions. Any visit by representatives of the international community should be in accordance with the consent of the competent institutions of Republika Srpska,” Janjić stressed. He told SRNA that such statements are not only politically irresponsible but also dangerous for stability in BiH, and called on irresponsible political actors from Sarajevo to respect the competencies and decisions of the Government of Republika Srpska. “Minister Forto, in his attempt to gather cheap political points, unfortunately deepens the political crisis, which clearly shows that his personal promotion takes precedence over political stability in BiH,” Janjić concluded.
