VUJIČIĆ: COEXISTENCE IN THE FEDERATION NOT POSSIBLE
ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, OCTOBER 8 /SRNA/ – By releasing three individuals suspected of inciting national and religious hatred, the Una-Sana Canton Prosecutor's Office is protecting Islamic extremist and sending a message that coexistence in the Federation of BiH is not possible, Miroslav Vujičić, SNSD deputy in the House of Representatives of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, told SRNA.
Vujičić said the judiciary in the Federation protects only extremists instead of investigating such individuals, who, according to him, do no good even for their own people. He added that judicial institutions at the cantonal and municipal levels in FBiH have repeatedly shown a lack of professionalism and neglect for all citizens. "Extremists threatened Serbs in Bihać, Una-Sana Canton, who are very few remaining in that city, while the prosecutor's office released them," said Vujičić, adding that the prosecutor's office showed enormous unprofessionalism. Vujičić pointed out that attacks on Serb returnees in FBiH are numerous and that not a single case has been resolved. He states the message to Serbs is clear: they are completely unprotected in the Federation. "A system that is supposed to protect all residents equally is not treating everyone equally," Vujičić said, adding that such an attitude will not contribute to coexistence. The three individuals arrested in the Bihać area on suspicion of inciting national and religious hatred were released after questioning, as the Una-Sana Canton Prosecutor's Office concluded that "there is no reason to request detention". In the Bihać area, agents of the State Investigation and Protection Agency /SIPA/, with the assistance of the Una-Sana Canton Ministry of Interior, frisked the suspects identified as Ć.A., P.A., and P.O., and searched the premises they use, seizing mobile phones and laptops. Media outlets reported that among those arrested was Adil Ćenanović, an Islamist who, at the end of September, harassed a Serb family in Bihać for playing the song "Veseli se srpski rode/Rejoice, Serbian People," shouting "Takbir – Allahu Akbar" outside their home.
