KOVAČEVIĆ: SRPSKA IS FOR STABILITY, BUT IF SARAJEVO WANTS CRISIS, IT WILL GET IT

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 21 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska has proven that it is a credible partner and is committed to regional stability, while Sarajevo persistently demonstrates a desire for crisis, as seen in the recent personal campaign by Sena Uzunović against President Milorad Dodik, stated SNSD spokesperson Radovan Kovačević.

"Republika Srpska is a credible partner and is ready to work on reducing tensions and ensuring stability throughout the region. This personal campaign by Sena Uzunović and others from Sarajevo, who are going so far as to say that Milorad Dodik must change his name and surname and has no right even to breathe air anymore, is something that Republika Srpska, SNSD, the entire ruling coalition, and, I am completely sure, the entire people of Republika Srpska will not remain silent about," Kovačević told the press in Banja Luka. Commenting on the letter from the Court of BiH sent to the Central Election Commission /CECE/, in which it allegedly "clarified the legal consequences of the judgments against Dodik" in the case against him over failing to comply with Christian Schmidt's decisions, stating that President Dodik cannot be SNSD leader, Kovačević said the things must be fully clear and emphasized that Sena Uzunović no longer has anything to do with the shameful case she presided over. "The Appellate Division of the BiH Court is the only authority competent to answer whether Milorad Dodik can be the party leader, and the Appellate Division ruled very clearly. What Sena Uzunović is doing is a personal vendetta against Milorad Dodikm, directly aimed at Republika Srpska because it is an extreme persecution of a man who is the most popular figure in Republika Srpska," Kovačević stated. He reiterated that Republika Srpska is a credible partner and has proven its commitment to stability, which is why, he says, it must be clear that no one stands behind what Sarajevo is doing. "There is no factor behind this. Republika Srpska has held talks with the world's most serious powers. They are not behind this, but behind the agreement made with Republika Srpska. Republika Srpska has demonstrated its commitment to stability. Sarajevo insists on crisis. If that's what they want, we have no problem moving forward," Kovačević emphasized He added that Republika Srpska has no issue with the Government and the National Assembly urgently addressing the matter. "Republika Srpska has no problem saying that it is now clear that it needs its own electoral legislation and electoral institutions, because others cannot be relied upon. We believe that serious international factors will work to resolve this issue and preserve the stability to which Republika Srpska has certainly given a chance," Kovačević concluded.
