ONLY MUSLIMS WANT SNAP ELECTIONS IN SRPSKA
BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 21 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik has stated today that the snap presidential elections in Republika Srpska, scheduled for November 23, are not wanted by either the government or the opposition in Srpska, only by Muslims.
"Only the Muslims want those elections, specifically in Republika Srpska, so the question must be rised – why? Well, too once again draw negative attention to Republika Srpska. But they're not succeeding – Srpska remains stable," Dodik told the press in Banja Luka. Dodik said that time will tell whether those elections will actually take place and whether they will participate in them. Dodik, who is also the leader of the SNSD party, said that all socio-political factors in Republika Srpska were offered the opportunity to first understand what this is really about. "They reduced it all to Milorad Dodik, to either hatred or sympathy toward me. They didn't want to be part of a unified agreement to say that such acts cannot be taken against Republika Srpska," Dodik emphasized. He noted that the opposition was offered the chance to form a government of national unity and to take the position of prime minister until the next elections, in order to strengthen Republika Srpska's position in saying "no" to Sarajevo. "However, they chose to go to Sarajevo, encouraged by BN television, which is running the opposition’s political agenda. There are no real opposition political parties here; all politics and statements are drafted by that TV station's editorial staff in Bijeljina. They are essentially at war with Republika Srpska, extremely subservient and financially dependent on the Federation of BiH, so it's no surprise what BN is doing," Dodik stressed. He said that it remains to be seen how the people will respond to the upcoming elections and emphasized that Republika Srpska maintains communication with much more serious decision-making centres, which will continue. "I have no intention ever in my life to go to Sarajevo, neither to sit not to talk. For me, that is a foreign country, and I don’t want to see it," Dodik stated.
