ŠOBIĆ: STATE PROJECT OF HISTORY FALSIFICATION AND GENOCIDE DENIAL

BANJA LUKA, OCTOBER 29 /SRNA/ – The president of the Association of War Veterans of the National Liberation Struggle /SUBNOR/ of Republika Srpska Slobodan Šobić told SRNA that the roundtable discussion held in the Croatian Parliament about the Jasenovac concentration camp demonstrates that Croatia's state project is the denial of genocide and the falsification of history.

He said that shocking claims were presented at the roundtable in the Croatian Parliament, falsifying history and denying the genocide committed in the Ustaša camp system of Jasenovac, Stara Gradiška, and Lepoglava. Šobić pointed out that the Croatian Parliament has thus provided a platform for various pseudo-historians, Ustaša sympathizers, and propagandists of the Independent State of Croatia /NDH/ to spread vile lies, emphasizing that not even Parliament Speaker Gordan Jandroković can justify this. "We shall see how the local, regional, and international public will react when confronted with all the horrors of Ustaša crimes in the NDH in the film `Children of Kozara` by Croatian director Lordan Zafranović, whose premiere is eagerly awaited," said Šobić. The Croatian Anti-Fascist League criticized the roundtable titled "A Scientific Approach to Researching Jasenovac Victims" held in the Croatian Parliament, calling it a gathering of unscrupulous manipulators who falsify the tragedy that occurred more than 80 years ago.
