DODIK: UN SECURITY COUNCIL SESSION SHOWS TRUMP IS KEEPING HIS WORD

PRIJEDOR, OCTOBER 31 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik said that it was important that the representative of the United States at today’s session of the UN Security Council on the situation in BiH reiterated the words of President Donald Trump that America will not engage in nation- or state-building, that it wants peace, and that internal actors should talk among themselves — stressing that this is exactly what Republika Srpska wanted to hear.

"The United States will not engage in interventionism. That is what we wanted so much to hear. It is completely different from what we used to hear before. It means that Trump is implementing what he says," Dodik told reporters in Prijedor. Dodik pointed out that the United States has changed its approach to global issues and that Trump’s administration is waging a historic fight against the globalist, neoliberal approach that destroys nations, states and identities. "We are grateful to the Russians, who spoke very precisely about this, to the Chinese, who recognized the situation, and to some others who were somewhat more moderate. There was also an excellent address by Serbia’s representative, who spoke clearly and precisely about all these issues, as well as by Croatia and several other countries," Dodik said, adding that the British and the Germans remain attached to their old vocabulary and the assessment of the previously expressed positions.
