DODIK: REPUBLIKA SRPSKA IS MODEL OF RESILIENCE AND ACHIEVEMENT

NEVESINJE, NOVEMBER 6 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik has stated today in Nevesinje that Republika Srpska is a model of success and strength, moving forward by the will of its people despite all obstacles.

NEVESINJE, NOVEMBER 6 /SRNA/ – President Milorad Dodik has stated today in Nevesinje that Republika Srpska is a model of success and strength, moving forward by the will of its people despite all obstacles.

After visiting the Pošćenje Dam, from which water will be directed through a headrace tunnel to the Dabar Hydropower Plant /HPP/, Dodik said that what remains behind politicians are their deeds. "It wasn't easy. I remember the days when, despite poverty, we decided to undertake this for Republika Srpska," Dodik said, adding that the late owner of the company Integral Inženjering, Slobodan Stanković, deserves credit for the project’s success. He said it took painstaking work to obtain all the necessary permits, but that despite numerous obstructions - as is now the case with the Trebinje airport project - their determination was not broken. "This project was also part of the broader struggle for ownership rights. For us, BiH is unsustainable - it is a prison for the Serb people, a guardian we do not want. Things are changing: the Serb people are the only ones capable of building a state," Dodik said. He emphasized that Republika Srpska is achieving major accomplishments. "The headrace tunnel looks impressive, and we will complete this project by mid-2027. The business environment and overall climate here will change. We will succeed because Republika Srpska has good people - builders who deserve our respect," Dodik said. Following a presentation of the HPP Dabar tunnel project, Dodik stressed that this is not just a construction site but a symbol of Republika Srpska's strength - proof that Srpska knows, can, and is determined to achieve its goals. He added that Republika Srpska is not only building tunnels and dams, but also strengthening faith in its own future. "The Dabar headrace tunnel, over 12 kilometers long and carved deep into the Herzegovinian rock, is not only an engineering feat - it is a monument to the perseverance of our people," Dodik stressed. He concluded that Republika Srpska is a winner. "Republika Srpska has a bright future - a future of work, peace, and dignity. Serbia is our homeland. Long live Republika Srpska, long live Serbia!" Dodik declared. Officials of Republika Srpska today toured the recently completed Dabar HPP headrace tunnel and later visited the Pošćenje Dam, where they attended a ceremony marking the breakthrough of the tunnel - one of the largest hydro-energy projects in Republika Srpska.
